Want to do a bds 6.5 in lift with long arms. And 37 tires on stock wheels. What will I need if I have 4.10 gears, any upgrades to tranny cooler, gussets etc. Any help is appreciated

You don't need to do 6.5 inches if you want to run 37's. I am running 4'' of total lift and 37's. Definitely do gussets, some may even suggest sleeves.

If you have an automatic then I would suggest a tranny cooler. I fried my transmission before I got my cooler installed. It cost over $2k to get it rebuilt. So, a transmission cooler is a cheap investment in the long run.

My Jeep is my daily driver and I am running 4.10's as well. They aren't bad around town, and on the freeway cruising around 60MPH it isn't bad. But if you need to pick up some speed to pass somebody on the freeway, go up a mountain or steep hill; they just plain suck.

I don't want to cut my fenders or gen new ones. Plus I'm in high school so the bigger the better. Would I need to upgrade anything else in the long run, and how much would a 4x4 parts store charge to put all of that in. Or could I do it on my own?

At 6.5", you're looking at a bunch of driveline/steering issues. You'll have to swap out your driveshafts, as well as beefing up and exchanging quite a few steering components. As was said above, you really don't need to go that high to clear 37's. You'll spend more in the long run, but hey...if that's what you want, and you know what you're getting yourself into, then go ahead.

4wheel parts on Glenwood will probably charge you an arm and a leg. At all cost i stay away from 4wheel parts unless i absolutely need something really quick. I know there is East Coast Gear but i don't know how much they would charge and from what i have seen from them they are not that cheap either. I am sure there are other shops around there but i can't think of them off the top of my head.

I agree with Jsears and Merlin its going to be more trouble then it is worth but if money isn't an issue go for it

I ran 3'' of lift and 37's, with stock fender (not cut). I only went to 4'' and flat fenders because I added heavy front and rear bumpers plus a winch. So, at 4.5'' I wouldn't think you would need to cut your fenders. If you don't want to cut them, you could always look at some after market fenders.

Also, don't run Cam Bolts and you shouldn't need them if you are running adjustable control arms. You will probably want to add a Flip Drag Link kit, as well. I also would skip the steering stabilizer, your stock one will be fine. Especially with adjustable CA's, your or your shop should be able to dial in your steering.

Also, if you are going to spend that much money right off the bat I would look at something other than BDS.

obviously i dont know anything about lifts haha. thanks for the help. when i first saw lift kits i
thought i could just install it and go for ever. but when you really look at it. there is a ton of work involved. so if im spending about three grand you reccomend something else then bds? i had heard good things about them..
im liking the evo lift. could i do a 1 in body lift leveling kit, or would that not work?

TeraFlex 4" with 37" GoodYear MTR's, plenty of room with stock flares. Stay away from cambolts!
