I have the exact same lift. I actually love it! I mean sure I'd love to do the 5.5 rock Krawler lift but for now the 2.5rc bb does what I need it to. I like the way it sits and rides and it fit my 35s pretty well.

I had considered 35's but with the automatic transmission and 373 gears I would have to mash the peddle through the floorboard to keep it up to speed. Lol!!!

I just had the RC 2.5" BB II kit delivered Friday and looking to install it soon.

Ive read that you should tighten everything once it has the weight of the vehicle on the tires, and you state this again. What bolts are we talking about here? Isn't it tough to tighten things once the tires are back on? Or are you saying to tighten again/check tightness once the weights on the feet?

The vehicle needs to support its own weight on the ground before you tighten everything down. Install the BB with everything hand tight, put everything back together and the tires on, then torque everything down to spec. With a budget boost, you should only be looking at shocks and track bars that need to be tightened and checked. Torque the trac bars to 125 ft lbs and I usually hand tighten my shocks. Check them again after about a week of driving just to make sure everything is snug.

It is only tough to tighten everything down once the jeep is back on the ground bc of space limitations, but it can/should be done.

It is tough to torque the components when back on the ground but it has to be done this way. You can do it by hand just have a decent (long) 1/2 inch drive torque wrench, also you will need misc extensions and some open end wrenches too. The control arms and track bars are the components that have to be tightened back down when the Jeep is back on its wheels. If the RC instructions are crappy like most of the vendors instructions are go to AEVs website and download their budget boost instructions and use them along with your lifts included instructions. The AEV instructions have great diagrams instead of crappy black and white photos and they will help you get a better idea of what components you are looking at.

Good Luck!

I've done it with jack stands under the axle, and the wheels off for better access.

Suggest cleaning the jeep's underside before starting, and clean/inspect the bolt sleeves and mounts before installing/torquing. If there's some crud in between the bolt sleeve and the mount, the crud may eventually wear down, the bolt sleeve gets loose, etc. Re-torque with a torque wrench after a hundred miles of so, and I'd repeat this until all stay torqued.

Have fun!
