Default Lift install procedure

Is there anything wrong with working on the rear of the Jeep when the front hasn't been aligned or the control arms haven't been torqued down yet?

I am waiting on my sway bar disconnects, not sure if they need to be on when performing an alignment, but a change of scenery would be nice too.

Just curious if that would affect anything in the rear of the Jeep.

Also, since I don't have anyone helping me, can I bleed all four brakes at once when someone is here to help, or do I need to bleed the front now (since I installed the brake line extensions) and then do the rear later? (I have not let the master cylinder get too low either).

Not a problem, move around. Just don't drive it until everything is torqued down.

The sway bar disconnects won't affect your alignment so you can get it aligned without them.

Cool, thanks for the response, I'm a bit overwhelmed right now and not sure where to go next (I am following a writeup, but the whole front end allignment, tow-in, caster, etc. is a bit daunting, first Jeep lift for me), and the rear doesn't seem very complicated (I hope).

When bleeding the brakes you always start with the wheel farthest from the master cylinder first and then do them in order as they get closer. RR, LR, RF, LF. If you only changed the rear then you would only have to bleed the rear, but since you changed the front already, definitely need to start with the rear and work closer.

You didn't say which lift you have. Do you have adjustable track bars and control arms?

I actually have the TF 4" kit with an adjustable trackbar, front lower control arms and rear upper control arms. I am putting 35s on it for now, I have the fronts on currently and I must say it looks SWEET

I'll get some pictures up here this weekend, I've been taking pictures as I go along, nothing too detailed like WOLs writeup though. If you have any questions during your install let me know, I'll help as much as I can. Follow along with WOLs writeup, it is a HUGE help, the TF instructions are less than optimal to be PC about it.

I owe WOL a few beers if I'm ever on the west coast for sure.

Good luck and just take your time, luckily I have been working on it only a few hours a day by myself when not working. I think it's better since I can step away and breath so I don't get frustrated.

One other thing, shoot all of the control arm, shock, sway bar link and track bar bolts with PB Blaster everyday from now till you start the install, it will make unbolting everything much easier.
