Default Lift Kit recomendations...

I have been doing research around different sites and just wanting to get some opinions from people who know. I am getting an Unlimited Sahara soon, and was just wanting to know what lift does everyone think I should go with.It will be my daily driver but I would also like it to be funtional off-road for the times I go. I would like to run 37's (aesthetic as well as fuctionality), also would I need to regear from the stock gears or would I be fine for a while until extra cash rolls along.so any info you all have would be GREATLY appreciated. Thanks ahead of time

You'll need a 4 inch or better lift and with 37s you'll definitely need to regear. You didn't say you've got an Unlimited, so you'll probably need drive shafts front and rear. I think you could get away with just replacing the front shaft if you have an Unlimited.

As far as different lift kits, that'll depend on how much money you have and what you want out of it.

Well money is not that big of an object but I would rather not venture into the 3000 buck lift kits like RE. Mostly I would be using it for on road use with occasionally trail riding, nothing extreme. So if anyone knows what i am going through lend me a hand.

You'll definitely want to regear with 3.73 gears and either 35 or 37" tires. With 4" of lift you will need to cut the front bumper or get an aftermarket one to keep the tires from rubbing, and also trim about an inch off the pinch seam at the lower body in front of the rear tires.

I run a 2dr with a 4" teraflex lift with manual disconects ($1500.) with 35's. I did have to replace both drive shafts($700. local shop built). I had 4:10 gears and went to 4:88s...($1000.). huge difference. Just make sure the lift you choose has adjustable control arms to help with pinion angle. Between the lift and tires my ride changed 9 inches. Good Luck
