Default Lift kit or Wheels/Tires

So I recently sold my boat and have a little extra cash. I am looking to change the look of my 2010 Black JK 4 door. I would like to put some NITTO-35X12.50X18 that I found for sale near my house for a decent price. Would that even be possible without a lift? or should I get the lift first? Here's mine with 35" BFG's and no lift. Trimmed pinch seam and plastic air dam thing... You might be able to run them temporarily, but it would be useless off the pavement.

Thats a XJ in the pic, so will you be running adapters to mount them on your JK? I say buy them, get your adapters, and hold onto them until you get your lift. You have TONS of options on lift, so maybe as you research what to get youll learn more and wheel stock- and when you roll out lifted on 35s you wont be clueless...

Ou can fit 35's without a lift, trim the pinch welds and you will all st. If you plan on wheeling it, you will need a lift or you will hit the flares.

He is referring to the vehicle in the first pic with the nittos. That is not a wrangler, it's a Cherokee.
