Default Lift Question

I am planning on putting a lift and tires soon but have a few unresolved issues....OK, so I have a 4 door auto, I want to run 37's cause I like them on a the 4 door, not cause I NEED them, ...I dont want modify my fenders cause I like the painted Sahara ones. So, I am wanting to put on Clayton but I dont know which one, the 3.5 or 4.5. The clayton lifts give more than advertised but not sure how much. I am going the clayton cause they make a quality product, and I wanna do it right the first time. I do not off road much, this is primarily a DD, but when I do get out I want a quality product. So my question is...

1. Is Clayton lift "overkill" for me? ( cost is not an issue)
2. Is the 3.5 inch lift really more like 4+ like other kits and if so isnt that enough to clear 37's?
3.What the worst that could happen if I run the 3.5 kit with 37's and stock fenders?
Let me know what you all think.....Thanks

1. You can get more for less from Teraflex or Rock Krawler.

Clayton - $1900 for 4.5" + control arms without shocks
Rock Krawler - $2,179 for 5.5" + 8 control arms without shocks
Teraflex - $2,597 for 4" + 8 control arms with shocks

2. Website says 3.5 for 35's and 4.5 for 37's.
Meaning you can run 37's with the 3.5 but you'll need longer bumpstops/flat fenders, which you don't want.

3. You have the chance of ripping off your pretty fenders.
