really? you've had 9 JK's and are on your 10th now? i'm impressed, i've only owned 4 JK's but had to sell one last year. and, being that the JK is so completely different than any other wrangler made, i know you would never dream of adding any of them to your list as that would be like comparing apples and oranges. well, at least i wouldn't anyway.

Assisted others and driven over 30 but only from the manufactures AEV, Pro Comp, Tera flex, Rock Krawler, RE, Full Traction and superlift.... I have yet to own a sky jacker lift but I have seen a few on the trail.
so please, do tell us, in your opinion, how each of the coils you've tested compared to one another. which one were on the soft side and which ones were on the firm? which ones sat on the tall side and which ones felt more comfortable to you? inquiring minds want to know and i certainly would love to compare your notes with mine.

What I gain is the hope someone doesn't end up with a piss poor driving jeep for what they plan to use it for. I don't own a shop or a web site.
funny, that's what i would hope for too - imagine that. likewise, i don't own a shop and, while i do volunteer my time for FREE to help out on this forum, it is owned by internet brands.

Since you have been to Afghanistan it is super easy to explain/correlate "American steel" vs. "Foreign steel", just look at any locally made product there (which is very little) or the more prevalent chinese, paki, or India made crap. There is little to no quality control as to the exact amounts of alloys, minerals and chemicals used to make a specific steel, or even the quality of heat treatment used to temper a steel to behave a certain way. There is a reason construction in our country rarely has catastrophic failure. 1st world steel (American, German, etc) is expensive and worth it.

Made in the USA.
Limited Lifetime Warranty.
And right now it is eligible for our Shock and Awe rebate, a $500 Visa card that can be used just about everywhere. Do some search on this system a lot of happy Jeepers.
Rancho Suspension: RANCHO® SHOCK & AWE PROMOTION

You won't need to upgrade your drive shaft(s) either if you are doing the type of driving you mentioned.
Down the road, if you want, you can upgrade to our (or others) control arms too.
I have seen this system (on a Rubicon) do some great trails without any issues.
Good luck in your search, PM if you have any questions.
Thanks!
Everyone Else,
I should have realized this was going to start another "whose better" type of thread. None the less this isnt just useless banter. Im learning a lot here. Thanks

If I didn't have only a 6 month old lift I'd be checking out ranchos lifts for sure that $500 rebate would be sweet and tempting

Also I sugest you look inot RC 2.5 coil kit. You can get a way more complete kit for cheaper than a budget boost. I got mine with adj front track bar, rear track bar bracket, and single SS for cheaper than a bone stock TF kit. You gotta ask yourself are the other brands coils really that much better??? (the answer is NO) plus RC has a lifetime waranty on its coils not sagging so it's a win win
X2: On the RC 2.5" Coil Lift. I have the same set up. Work's great for a DD/Trail rig.

I am in the same exact boat as you. I am looking at a 2.5 inch lift. I was told to look at the AEV.. and also ome lift kits. I want a kit that offers everything I need to put it on and not worry about driving issues.
