Default Lift springs and spacers

hello i have a 07 4door wrangler and i put a 2" spacer lift w/shocks from rough country now that it's in i want to go even higher. my question is can i keep my 2" spacers in and add four new lift springs that are 2.5" and just buy everything else or if i find a 2.5" spring lift kit that has everything and if it can be done will it be safe.
Thanks everyone for your help Ray

You can do that, but 4.5"+ of lift is going to put you into a wholedifferent
Lift category which will require other mods (CAs, driveshafts, etc)
Sooner or later.

You will probably be better off ditching the spacers and doing a full spring lift, You will need some more parts though like track bars, LCAs and drive shafts

The next time you're browsing around in the Suspension FAQ's, check this one to get an idea of what you're looking at.

Q: What are all the components that I will need with a 4" lift?

Default Go BIG now and save your $

You eventually want it 4,5,6 inches, so get a long arm kit, some Tom Woods shafts, 37's, gears 5:38's, and call it a day

I've found owning a jeep is like pulling a loose string on a shirt,,, it just keeps going as you keep pulling everything you do seems to effect something else that you now have to change that then effects something else.
I did a 2.5" lift and was happy until I wanted 35's,, so I knew I would rub and put on a 1.75" coil spacer. Well thats great but now my shocks that I bought with the original lift are to short and my drive line is at a pretty good angle.
So new shocks are in the future and who know how long the drive shaft will last.
Not to mention that when I put on the longer shocks and I flex it out my springs will probably come loose. So maybe longer springs or just a retainer might work....... or maybe if I would have done it right and thought it out the 1st time I could have saved some $$$$. But what fun is that.
