Evap canister relocation
I put a skid on mine from benchmark... only because I had an issue with my evap on a WJ, Im afraid to mess with it.
Put I would def jeep the jeepswag kit If i was going to relocate it.
Woods is an innovative man and should have been on the design team when Jeep did the JK

Ok, another question... I have access to a welder, and the steel to make a skid plate... so if I skid it, and it gets wasted on the trail, what happens, does the engine just shut off, or can I get home with it?

Because you are altering the system, hose clamps and such. It's extremely easy for a dealership to shove you off with everything moved like that. I just rather avoid the emissions crap and skid it myself. Figuring the emissions warranty covers cats and such, I rather not give someone an excuse to get around warranty parts. Just me though!
Wrong Wrong Wrong.
I have yet to hear from anyone who has had their warranty voided for an evap relocation. If you're worried about your warranty then don't do ANY mods to your Jeep and you better not take it offroad either.

That's great, than you are well aware of the magnuson-moss warranty act
I have worked in dealerships for 15 years as a manager.
Prove to me that the evap canister being relocated will void my warranty.
The only thing the skid does is add 18-20 lbs of extra weight and it hangs 1" lower then it did before.
There have been plenty of evap canisters relocated and documented on this forum. I have yet to hear of one that has voided the warranty.
