So I got my tires and wheels. Thought I had it all planned out but now that the tires are on I feel like I NEED to go bigger. So let's here some suggestions on how much lift I should go with. Originally I wanted to go 33's and a teraflex 1.5" (2 in front, 1 in rear) leveling kit. The tires are nitto trail grapplers 295/70-17 wheels are XD Addicts 17x9 with 4.5" back spacing. They rub slightly before full lock. The tires official diameter per NITTO is 33.5". Will the 1.5 level kit even help here? Post some pics if you have them.

 

You need wheel offsets to keep the tires from rubbing.

If it's just the plastic air dam that can be trimmed.

 

This is a Teraflex 1.5 spacer lift with 315/70/17 Duratracs, but replaced heavy hard top with soft, removed rear seat and spare that reduced weight in rear by well over 200 lbs

 

I've got 33" duratracs, stock wheels, spidertrax wheel spacers, and tereflex leveling kit. No rubbing at all.

 

I have a Teraflex leveling kit. I am saving for a 2.5" lift, should have saved my money and just went that route first.

 

are you saying I should add a spacer to my wheels?

 

if ur kit raised it up by one in the rear yours looks like it went up more than that. Line looks like one inch wouldn't even help. Or my 33's are huge.

 

I'm new to all this. Teraflex site confuses me as they have many 2.5" lifts. I'm thinking 2.5 is the way to go. That's the way I'm leaning. Local shop wants 4k for a 2.5 teraflex. I mostly want it to be capable at most off-road. Not rock crawling but don't want it to be a princess neither.
