To run them I agree I won't need to lift it, but to stuff them and avoid fender flares and pinch welds I probably should, right?!?

225\75\16 - 29" (stock)
265\75\16 - 31.5" (currently running)
285\75\16 - 32.8"

Just sounds odd (to me) to be able to run those 3 size tires without needing some lift.

From stock to 33's that's 4" difference in diameter which means 2 more inches in the fenders so I figure 2"+/- lift.

I posted a pic of the 2" and 32's on the first page. Here is a pic of the 2.5" and the 35's.

So really all I'd be gaining is additional ground clearance underneath, and the option of running 35's if I wanted.

Correct.

You see, the JK is sized for 32's as a stock size...so you would not start counting from the 29's...you'd start counting from the 32's....your wheel wells are the same size regardless of which tires your rig came with.

Also - remember, a suspension lift, like a BB, etc...doesn't change the max tire size, as stuffage is still to the same point with or without a lift.....all they do is raise the ride height, and make it a longer trip to fully stuff.

Only the BL gives more room for stuffage (Or other means of moving the body parts out of the way of the tire, like larger fenders, etc...)

That's why a 1" BL and the 2.5" BB is such a great way to get 35's on, and working well, for dirt cheap, and w/o other mods like the track bars, new drive shafts, etc.
