Default Limiting Straps

Just put in the 2-1/2" Budget Boost with new shocks. It looks like on full droop, the brake lines and wiring are tightening up before the shock is fully extended, and in the rear, the coils will fall out before the shock is fully extended.

I think I want to put in limiting straps to save the brake lines and keep the coils in place. I've seen an install on the front going from the bottom shock mount to a new hole drilled in the shock tower. Where would they mount in the back ?

Anyone out there done this on their rig ?

holy crap... what shocks did you get? even with the ones i got as replacements that extend out to 29" don't let the rear springs drop out. my brake lines are at the max and i'll be getting longer ones shortly. and i added a few inchs of wire to my ESP and locker wires to keep them safe.

i'd recheck to make sure the shocks you have are the right ones.

but as for rear straps, you could drill a hole in the axle shock mounting brakets and then attach them to the inside of the frame above. that's what i'd do.

Ya some thing doesn't add up here.

We're running 2.5 Rough Country BB with shock extensions. For the rear brake likes we made brake line relocation brackets. The front was fine.

For all the electrics and the rear diff locker cable, we just moved the tie raps further until there was no tension on the cable. Works like a charm.
