Maybe later on, when this rig is a trailer queen but right now this is my DD and I dont wheel it enough to justify cost of the ARBs. Thats a good link for that locker info, answered some of my questions. thanks.

I was debating my self for a long time. Finally went with eaton elockers had em about a year now and I beat em up pretty good. I live in Utah lots of snow so it's nice to flip on flip off. And yes it's a full locker when locked. I love my lockers man. Many people on here will whine and cry and tell you how crappy they are but mine still work perfect no air lines to leak. I will never go anything else could t be happier.

People whine and cry about their Auburn Ecteds (they are VERY frequently confused with the Eaton unit) but they are vastly different from an Eaton ELocker. It isn't that the ELockers are poorly made, it's that the 44 version is weak (the D30 version is very strong). It was not designed for this type of use and it's not nearly as strong as an ARB (it's only warranted for 32" tires). Eaton has been working on a new, stronger, version for a few years but it doesn't look like it will be available anytime soon. Like you, I prefer 12V actuation but there isn't a great option for a D44.

I currently run Detroits (both ends) in both of my Jeeps. I love how they work and don't see ever changing them out. As for road manners, you'd be hard pressed to ever know I have them but I have an auto trans in both rigs and that really helps with road manners.

So for budget guys... Rear locker first or front first? If you wheel both rocks and mud and a DD.

Rear axle first- You'll see more benefit here. I'm not a big fan of building up a 30 front because they are such money pits. You can throw a ton of cash at it but it's still only a 30. I understand budgets. Save for your front axle and do it right the first time.

Ya for sure do your rear first have the time i forget to turn my front on and it still climbs pretty much anything. I like the Detroit lockers just I live in Utah and get alot of snow so I like to have a selectable locker that's why I went with the eaton e locker.

I know every one loves the arb and dogs again the eaton cause of the 2 pin collar design but like I said I beat mine really hard and been perfect. The Dana 30 is what I had in my tj and now my jk with eaton e locker in both and never had a problem but once I start bouncing I let off and I run 35" tires so from my experience the Dana 30 is fine unless you bounce your jeep up everything or let your wife drive and ram stuff.

Be very careful when rocking the Jeep (forward and backward) when locked. The actuation engagement doesn't like this motion.
