Default locker help please

I put 4.88 gears and when they were put back in the plunger was put on the wrong side. I only drove it about
100 yards and realized it and pulled the gears and moved them to correct side. Now the locker work but they just keep on blinking and now I have figured out that as soon as I put it in 4 hi the rear is in without using the locker
and goes back out when I put it in 2 wheel drive. Do you think its the sensor or something else? Or is there any
way it would be covered under warranty or was it something I did. Thanks in advance I just don't know which
way to turn.

Exactly what do you mean? When you go to 4hi, the rear locker locks on its own?

Have you verified it is actually engaged in 4hi, and not in 2hi? (By jacking up the rear and trying to spin the tires in opposite directions by hand)

No I have not. I did not know about it until I was playing around with it on pavement today. I pulled lever back to put it in 4 high and the tires were chirping in the back when I maid a turn. Sorry for dumb ? But what would that tell me?

That doesn't necessarily mean the rear is locked. Part-time 4wd doesn't like turns on pavement.

Get onto some dirt and play with the lockers in 4lo. If the light continues to blink after trying to engage, move forward and make small turns left and right to see if the locker will engage, which should make the light come on steady.

Then do the same thing when you try to unlock.
