Default TF 2.5 install.....last bolt fail.

O I finished my install today. Well 3 corners anyway. Very last bolt on the stabilizer link was tough to get in place. Apparently I stripped it or damaged it to the point that none of the remaining nuts will go on the threads. So for now 3 wheels on and 1 issue remaining. Will the dealer have a new nut/ bolt or should I just order online?
Thanks in advance.

Why not just got to home depot or lowes and get a grade 8? I had to do this with my LCA skids as well. The bolts that came with it were to thick for eye holes... I'm sure it will be MUCH cheaper than dealership.....

Are you sure you did not switch any of the bolts. From what I remember from my install, a few bolts looks very identical, but the nuts that pair with that bolt must stay with that nut. I forget which bolt looks identical though. Maybe someone else might chime in...

This correct, top bolt is different thread than bottom.

that's what i would do, just go to the hardware store and get a grade 8 equivalent and replace it altogether.

Done. Thanks all. Now I know all Lowes has to offer in the nut/bolt area. Funny...the old guys that work there act like metric does not exist. Try to tell them you need and M12 and they try to sell you the SAE 13. Close but no. I am sure I mixed my nuts somewhere. Just took first test drive and all appears well. Tighten again in a few weeks.

Lowes has a good selection of random nuts/bolts that I can't find at HD

i learned the hard way on my last car.. now whenever i remove a nut and bolt pair, i keep thread them together immediately to keep them paired up.
