Locker questions.
Hello I am doing some reading and research with what lockers are the best. I know there are basically three types I have looked at.
E-Lockers
Air-Lockers
Cable(manual)-Lockers.
So far it seems to me that the cable lockers are what I am interested in the most. But I was curious and wanted to ask you guys which you have used seen used etc. I want something that is reliable and isn't crazy on keeping it working. Your feedback and info would be greatly apprciated.

ARBs really are the best, if installed correctly. When they're locked, they're one big chunk of steel. The others are fine, but all are john come lately's and lack much in the way of track record.

ox lockers (cable) can be really tempermental. I know some people who have had no issues and others that have had nothing but problems with cables stretching, etc. I like them, just wanted you to be aware of that.
ARB's (air) are tried and true, and while they're the most expensive, seem to be the most reliable (barring any leaking airline, etc)
E lockers are neat, but we have had SEVERAL of them go bad in our club.

I had alot of problems with the arb air line on my cj7, but that was like 15 years ago.
I have had many times where I would not want a mechanical locker in mine. There are certainly advantages over electronic or pneumatic. Just comes down to looking at pros and cons. Having e-lockers, I don't think I could go to mechanical and be happy
Most people with problems with the ARB don't have the o-ring seated correctly and it leaks air here I do believe.
Get a quality installer who knows what they are doing and I'd tell you to get ARB air lockers.
As a side benefit, you'll have on-board air!

part of the decision, IMO depends on the type of driving the jeep will see such as offroad most of the time, on road city, interstae, etc...
i chose a selectable since at the time i was driving from florida to texas 2-3 times a month. i have ARB and have been very happy with them front and rear. the compressor has been upgraded from previous years with better o-rings and seals. i opted for the braided stainless steele air lines, so maybe that helps in NOT having air leaks (so far) i took the time to carefully run the lines so they do not get snaged or hung up on anything.
the ox locker (cable) i have heard same issues with the cable line getting stretched and also broken. other than cable issues i have not heard of any.
an auto locker i hear of very good reviews, but if you do alot of on road driving, i think stay away from them. you have the possibilty of locking up on the road while driving. now if you use your jeep more offroad, then that is a good cheap way to go. and i hear of a combo of selectable in rear and auto in front.
electric locker IMO i would stay away from period.

"My customers have had many issues with Ected units. Most will NEVER recommend one again.
The new Dana 30 ELocker has been getting rave reviews. It is now available for 27 or 30 spline shafts. The Dana 30 is the first ELocker model with 4 pinions. All other models have 2. My rep told me that all testing was done w/ 30 sp alloy shafts and that the ring gear was the failure point. I have yet to see a failure.
The Dana 44 ELocker is a 2 pinion model but it has a collar engagement design instead of the pin style that is used in the 8.8(the 30 has a collar design). The Dana 44 version is good for a 35" tire but that's about it's limit. I've only seen a couple of failures but they were seriously abused. I've seen quite a few failed 8.8" versions as the pin design engagement takes a real beating. The pins slide into a slot and they round the ends over time. Rebuild kits are available but the collar system is much more durable."
Various other things point to Eaton ELocker being the better of the two.
