Default Locker switch mounting

Where did you mount your aftermarket locker switches? Post a pic if you can. Thanks!

Mine are mounted above the driver's side dash speaker. There is plenty of room back there and the wires are easily feed throughout the rest of the vehicle, including through the firewall.

Edit: Mine is a '12

Since there are different interiors, it would help if we knew what you're working with. Even if you filled out profile info, those of us on phones can't access that. FYI, I put mine in my '07 initially to the right of the steering wheel column in some empty panel space. Now they are on the sPOD controller.

I don't have a picture but my switches are near your left knee, cut into the curved panel

I have an '12 so putting them in front of the shifter really wasn't an option...

FWIW, I had the factory switches that came with the ARB air compressor, over just a few months I had the face pop off of two if the switches.

It turns out that the ?aatrw? Guys make the ARB switches but I got the set if three from the aatrw guys better line of switches and they feel to be heavier gauge plastic and far less brittle/flimsy

Thank you!

They make great stuff and I'm getting tired of forgetting their name...

I am so much happier with their compressor and front and rear locker switches vs. the ones ARB included, as the ARB ones were having the face plate popping/snapping off during moderate trail riding.

On a 2011-up dashboard they fit real nice at the left end of the dash, below the AC outlet. Scope out the space behind the dash panel before you start cutting.

This location has been great on the trail. I can see the switches, and my left hand is never as busy as my right hand.

Not sure how that would compare to the '07 interior, but before I picked up the sPOD I had my off-road light switches mounted in that same area. A minor problem with the lights, but maybe not so minor with lockers, was on occasion when getting in and out of the Jeep my knee would bump into them and turn them on without my noticing. I ended up replacing the switches, which just had a tiny (1/16" or so) green LED to indicate on with switches that had the entire faceplate light up when on. That was better, but it was still something I had a problem with. If you were to bump a locker switch on and start tooling down the road, you could cause some serious damage. On the front axle you'd know immediately something was amiss (steering is very stiff), but the rear axle is a bit more subtle.
