Lockers?
I have a stock X with 3.73 gears. I wanted to order it with the OEM locker but I got one off the lot instead. What is the best way to get lockers? I here Eaton makes a good locker. Any advice?
Thanks

To my knowledge, Eaton does not make a locker. They make a fine limited slip unit, though. Probably one of if not the best. The Detriot Locker is probably what you are reffing to. I believe Richmond Gear makes those, if I am not mistaken. There are also others available, such as the OX Locker and ARB, as well as "lunchbox" lockers like the Aussie.
Auburn ETCED is also available for the 30 as well as the 44 I have both running 4.88s and 35s on my X. One neet thing with the auburns is you can lock the rear in 2 wheel drive as well as 4 wheel the front I fixed so it only locks in 4 low cause if you them both locked you don't need to be haulin a$$.
Thanks for all the great advice.
The ARB lockers sound good but they need an air source, right. Where do you mount it as I have a two door with a family of four and not any room to spare. Can it mount under the hood?

I heard there is an electronic locker thats limited slip until you lock it, I would look into that one for sure also.

I seem to remember that wayoflife had one or two of the stock lockers fail, so he now has a non-Rubicon rear D44 with an ARB and chromoloy shafts. He could probably offer some insights on the locker comparo.

Yes it requires the use of a compressor which ARB also makes.
And yes we now carry a bracket for it to be mounted under the hood.
