Locking Dana 30?????
)
Do some reading on the TrueTrac also. It is full case, and is very strong. About the same price as buying a lunchbox + a new carrier. It is a limited, so should be less strain on the front drivetrain than a full locker. Uses gears instead of clutches, so will not wear out. With the jk's electronics or a little brake pressure, it will 'lock up' to give closer to locker level performance when needed. And it is much more user friendly if you happen to drive on winter roads. (can you tell that this is my favorite d30 traction option?

I've been running an Aussie in my front D30 for over 2 years now and I love it. I will eventually be adding a Detroit in the rear but for now I've been running through the double black diamond trails in SoCal with no issues.
I will say that I did break an axle shaft while out on the rocks, but I think it was my fault and not a result of the locker. I was winching myself through a tough obstacle and broke the U-joint. Since then I have gone through that (and many other) obstacles with no issues.
Here's a few short videos of the carnage.

Been running ARB up front more than 4 years now,no problems.D30 has C gussets and Alloy Axles,take it slow and you'll be fine.If everyone is so worried about locking the D30,then spend the money on a Pro Rock 44 or 60

I already have Chromolly on both sides. The stock U-joints are a known weak point on the JKs--primarily because of the lack of full C-clips. A cheap upgrade might be just to replace both of the stock U-joints with better, aftermarket products.
