Locking the smittybilt tire carrier

Locking the smittybilt tire carrier
Can anyone advise how to lock the smittybilt oversize tire carrier. I see the two holes that the lock goes through .I tried a few different size locks with no luck. A picture would be much appreciated

if i remember it said a 2'' long lock. i've seen them at stores. if all else fails drill the holes slightly larger.
