Default Lod rear bumper question

I just put the extra stoppy thingies (that is the technical term, I am sure) on my rear LoD bumper that push it in tight to the tailgate against the factory rubber stoppers. These are only available on Gen 2. I put them at their furthest position aft, closest to the tire rack and when I close it it pushes the whole tail gate in about 1/8 of an inch. Is this bad? or is it supposed to do that?

you want them to be squashing down the factory isolators like that. it will help keep everything in place and from rattling. how'd the wheel spacers work out for you on the spare?

I only found 1. I went to 3 other auto stores, but no luck. The search will continue tomorrow.

you might be able to get it to work with just the one. two would be better but if you can't find it, i would go with what you have.

you know what..... you're gonna kill me but, don't bother looking for the other spacers. i was sitting here drinking some coffee and it occured to me that they won't do a hill of beans. they would in effect do the same thing as the washers i was trying to used and you will still have the problem with the wheel studs not being long enough. alas, the only thing you can really do is get 1 wheel spacer as it will have wheel studs attached to it and that will do the trick. man, i really am sorry for leading you astray and wasting your time

No worries. If you had met all the women who have led me astray in the past you would realize you are in good company, at least they were all pretty hot. I actually had the same thought earlier today when I was looking at spacers on line. I am glad my brain was working even if I wasn't listening to it. I should really try that sometime.

Stupid 4.65 backspacing with -8 offset.

I guess it is time to do some more shopping.

Any ideas who might have a cheap spacer?

give mel a call at off road evolution. i know that he deals with a local company that sells new spacers for cheap and you might be able to get 1 blem for even cheaper.
