Although just a bit short the supplied bolts seem to thread into the blind nuts that have no existing bolts for us 6m guys. I said blind nuts huh huh huh. Will visit fasten all for the extra bolts.
Yeah, the thread pitch on the missing bolts is non standard. M12 - 1.75. Or, take a bolt out from the stock t-case skid as it is the correct size and can be used to match at the hardware store. I had good luck at Ace hardware.

After using a step drill bit for mounting my armor, not sure I will ever use a standard bit on my Jeep again. Way more precision with the step bit.

Well, I went all over looking for this tap and drill set and ended up at fastenal. They hooked me up with the perfect set at a not so perfect price. Like $26 bucks but they sold me on that this Norseman brand is the best bit money can buy. We'll see. Anyway, by being a refrigeration mechanic by trade I found that a yellow jacket service valve wrench is a perfect ratchet for the tap. I have a small and a large one. Nice. Money well spent! Not a project where you want to have error due to crap tools. Enjoy the install!

Thanks, I like the idea of the step bits and I have about three different ones to choose from, I am just worried I will go too far.

I think I may drill a hole with the 25/64 bit in a test piece of metal, stick in the stepper bit and paint the rest of the exposed bit to know when to stop drilling.

I usually just put a piece of tape at the stop point. You could always stop early and finish with a standard. Just starting with the step bit will help ensure the hole doesn't move.

I installed the sliders yesterday. I went to Pep Boys and picked the Kawasaki drill bit (13/64) and tap. They worked great! Make sure you use lots of cutting oil, and a pencil to mark the holes.

Like mine also as a slider, a nice step or just knocking off the snow or mud.
