Is it actually a functional stinger for the jeep? Maybe just the 2dr since its smaller....

If you were going to regularly use it as a slider to climb walls, you might want something more extreme.

The TJ Poison Spyder Customs Comp Ctinger has braces that weld into the frame near the front shock mount for extra strength. I don't recall seeing a non-custom JK stinger like this:

the flying dildo has some custom work that looks to work as a real slider/stinger:

I think I read that the LOD is NOT a functional stinger. If it is, I may have to get one.

Cool

Regardless of what it's function is, I think it looks pretty cool.

Undoubtedly, but I'm not a big fan of putting things on the jeep for looks only, stickers excepted.

Come to think of it, the stinger actually does serve a purpose

... We have quite a few deer in my neck of the woods and unless you have a ass big bumper on your rig when one jumps out in front of you, your vehicle would be creamed.

I have yet to test it out on that (and don't want to ), but it's always good to be prepared

the way I see it... IF someone was in a situation where the JK is going to slowly roll forward (obviously not violently) the stinger would definetly help avoid such a rollover.. (heck, people tie ropes to the cages to help avoid side rollovers)..

basically, anything is better than nothing.

Yeah, Even if it started to slowly roll forward I could see the stinger helping and possibly catching it...
