Default long arm setup questions

This may be a silly question but if I order say a rustys 3.25 in lift and in the future want to upgrade to a long arm will I be able by buying an upgrade kit like the teraflex or will I have to change everything ( I guess my question is the trackbars and springs should work fine right???) Or would I be better off getting the teraflex 3 in to start with. I want to be able to upgrade but the reviews and the price point of the rustys lift is pretty appealing as it would allow me to spring for a bumper and a few other odds and ends at this time.

most Companys have whats called an upgrade kit, it gives you the arms and brackets, So you can use your coils and shocks from your current rig.

its what i did from the Fulltraction 3" Ultimate short arm kit, and bought the upgrade kit to go long arm. I'm still using my same coils and shocks

Teraflex, Fulltraction, Rockkrawler off the top of my head all have "Upgrade" kits.
