Question Looking for more POWER?????

Ok here's what i'm runnin'........ 08' jk 4 door auto w/ 3" lift and 33" nitto mud grapplers. I have installed the cold air intake but thats it so far! My question is whats the next step to obtain more noticeable power gains for the money??? It really struggles on the highway and in the mountains!! Anyone got any good suggestions or mods that have worked for them??? Thanks for any advice you give!

You better post up some specs on your Jeep if you want a sensible answer, otherwise get a supercharge with a NO kit.

Do you have a budget?

Gears would be a big boost with an automatic, get into the power band quicker and less hunting.

Exhaust/Programmer will give you a boost as well, but it's not a replacement for gears especially if you eventually plan to go with bigger shoes.

I have an 08 Rubicon Limited and the power is terrible on the hwy. Auto trans shifts a lot 65-75 mph. Turning off O/D helps a little however I totally miss the power range 3300-5000 range. When the auto trans shifts to 2nd I am screaming RPM's at 5100-5200 and then it drops to 3000 ish. Many Jeep owners state chips no major imporvement. I have Banks cat back w/ cold air intake and I feel I have LESS umph.... I called Banks and they have NOTHING in the works for Chips. Just don't spend a lot of money on the unknown fixes, because if there was a real fix, we would ALL be modifying our jeeps.

The gear change is by far the easiest way to gain more power. Just regear based on what your future tire size is going to be. I installed 5.13s with 35s and it was sweet. Just put on 37s, and it's back to turning off the overdrive.
