Default Low caster with spacers

My caster is at 3.1 for left and right is this normal for a jeep with only 1.75 spacers in front? I'm assuming I need to order lower control arms.

Did you check the castor yourself? or did you get the specs from the alignment shop? I'm asking because I tried checking it myself but the ground wasn't level

I had a 2.5" BB with 37s so I'm guessing my caster was less than what you have now. I didn't have adj control arms and it drove fine. But if you want to fine tune your caster/ better joints then I would go ahead and buy them

I couldn't seem to match castor with an angle finder took it to the shop. I see guys with 2.5 lifts and 3 having low caster Didnt think coil spacers would affect it that much. Though I did drive a friends jeep and made me alot more confident with mine.

My caster is at 2.5 and 2.9. It drives reasonably well, although I do get the flighty feel only around the 40-45 mph range. I'm assuming a set of LCA's would fix this problem. It's tolerable for now but will probably add LCA's at some point in the future.

As you found out, spacers wont change it enough to worry about caster numbers

I don't understand how wheel spacers can change/effect caster, please explain.

They're actually referring to coil spring spacers.

I think it comes down to personal preferences. I ran 1.75" spacers for a while... it rode good. For me, it was hard to notice a difference, until I swapped back to stock. Stock just has a nice settled feeling to the steering and bump handling. It convinced me that if I were to lift at all, that I would want to correct front end geometry the best I could.
