Try painting your D-Ring shackles to match your body paint. Black, Red, and Silver Jeeps are fortunate enough to have shackles that already match, but for those of us with sunburst orange Jeeps, we have to get a bit more creative. I've wanted to try this for a while and did it this weekend. I'm really pleased with the look and it didn't cost me but about $20 in Mopar aerosol touch-up paint to get it done.

The paint is available in many matching colors from local dealers in your area or from Quadratec. Alternately color matched aerosols can be bought from paintscratch.com also.

Thanks! Nope, no issues with bubbling but they were all chipped from rocks and trees. Bed liner works and looks great! The lasting is all in the prep work. I sanded them down with some course grit sandpaper, cleaned them up with mineral spirits and then used a brillo pad to smooth things out. Cleaned with mineral spirits again and hit them with 2 coats of bed liner.

Dunno about whatever spraycan bedliner he used but I know Herculiner specifically says not to use mineral spirits to "clean". It does actually leave a residue.
Believe it says Xylol or Xylene (think they are the same thing).

Paint thinner or 100% mineral spirits. It's the same thing.

I used duplicolor bed liner. It did not say anything about using mineral spirits/paint thinner. The brand of paint thinner I used was also duplicolor

Wow I hope you always have the drill with you just in case you wanna take it off any time or don't over tighten. I guess I'm still kind of young because I don't got arthritis just by turning in the top bolts. I still rather do it by hand
