More space on rear row?
Greetings Jeepers, have any of you guys tried those spacers (on ebay for 60 bucks) to make the second row recline about a couple inches. Looks more comfortable. May be done with regular washers / spacers?
Thanks
Thanks

I did washers with my 2008 jku and got the spacers off ebay for my current jeep. The look and height of the ebay ones makes it worth it to me. Makes it less noticeable to anyone sitting back there.

Here's my custom frankenstein phone mount that works very well. Proclip makes mounts for specific phones and they get annoying so I made my own holder with their JK mount:

"I just traded in my 2 door JK for a 4 door and noticed how much the rear seat angle sucks. So I am attempting to make a rear seat decline kit, for less money than the ones that are sold online. So I ordered some parts from an online Metal Store. This store will cut the flat bar to the length that you request. I got the dimensions from another member. I just ordered them, so now all I have to do is drill 1/2" holes and paint them, once I get them. All in all I didn't really save to much money. I will add some pics once the material arrives.
Aluminum Rectangular Bar - 3/8" (A) x 1 1/2" (B)
Custom Cut:5" - 3 $2.54 $7.62
Aluminum Rectangular Bar - 3/8" (A) x 1 1/2" (B)
Custom Cut:2.75" - 4 $1.40 $5.60
Shipping Method: UPS Ground
Sub-Total: $ 13.22
Coupon discount: $ 0.00
Discount
$ 0.00
Sales Tax: $ 0.00
Shipping: $ 18.06
Handling: $ 0.00
TOTAL: $ 31.28"
I just drilled some holes, painted them and they worked out great.

I installed the spacers in the rear seat mounts the other day. The stock bolts are TIGHT. It was well worth it though. My son would slouch in the back seat before because it was like a park bench. This allowed the seat belt to be very close to his neck. Not safe at all. With the spacers he sits up now because the lean back make the rear seat more comfortable.
I highly recommend the spacers for the rear seat.
As for when the seats are laid down, it does have a slight rise but it isn't much.
This is $60 well spent.
While you are at it, cut a piece of aluminum diamond plate to 6 1/2" x 13 1/2" and insert it under the center seat. It will sit on top of the support rods and give the center seat the support it needs to not sag. Another cheap mod that made my son happy.
