Default Low idle

My 2012 jeep with 15000 miles on it with 37s. It seems like the idle is to low. At low rpm's when I turn the wheel it feels like it going to stall. If anyone has anything to add would be great.

Well you can probably attribute your low RPM at low speeds to your gearing unless you've already addressed that. Your current JK will have either 3.21, 3.73, or 4.10, and that isn't really perfect gearing for 37's

He means idling. Has nothing to do with gears. Op have you tried pulling your battery to do a reset?

Sorry for late post I've been out of service. It's idling about 600 rpm's then I turn the wheel and it goes down under 500 and feels like its going to stall. I'm thinking it might be steering pump turning those big tires. I'm thinking I might need hydro assist. Please keep um coming still not sure.

yeah, same deal on my 2012 with 37's. You have to gas it up to keep the pump moving...

One more thing to upgrade, As mentioned a regear will help this

Chris do you have a stick? I have auto so it's kinda hard to get the rpm's up. Do you know how hard the psc is to install?

Yes, sorry I thought you did as well.

IMO the PSC is very straight forward to install.

I would take it to the dealer and see if the idle is in spec. If it hasn't actually died, I wouldn't be as concerned. And yes, the power steering pump is definitely working hard trying to turn those tires

Cool thanks, that sounds like a good idea. And no it hasn't shut down yet.
