Correction **front lower AXLE control arm hole**

Pics for the non believers. First 3 pics are of the inside of the front lower axle control arm mount. The last pic is the washer welded to the outside. You can see the hole was not round but elongated with rounded edges. Exactly like the OP posted.

My 07 axle control arm mounts were square-ish but I definitely would not call them elongated. I cut mine so I could run cam bolts. My 2012 is just the same....square-ish, too. My neighbors 2010 is square-ish as well. Having them elongated from the factory makes no sense. There is no need for it.

To the OP, not to be rude but there is no f'n way I would pay a dealer to install cam bolts and do an alignment......especially for $350. You and them have to be out of your mind if you are even considering that as a viable option.

Unless my monitor is some how distorted, your pics look nothing like the OP's.

I don't believe I said "here are pics just like the OP" I am trying to show that my mounts WERE exactly like the OP BEFORE I welded the washers on. Since I welded washers on I had to take a pic of the INSIDE of the control arm mount, to show it was not round from the factory. I was saying mine was not round "exactly like the OP"

I installed a lift with ajustable control arms within the first couple months of purchasing my 2011 and all the brackets had round holes that were not elongated.

This is exactly what mine had looked like before the grinding began. I know350 for a dealer alignment sounds expensive, but after the work this shop did, I dont want them touching my vehicle... And If I can get them to pay jeep for their service, I think thats the road I will take for now...

No question it can be fixed, just a shame you have to deal with this mess. That pic is of the d30 after I swapped it out of my 2012 with aprox. 3k on it.

Good luck man!

Wait a minute' I want to know more about this part-

The dealer says that there are provisions built into the Jeep to accommodate adding a lift, yet Jeep also tells us a lift can void the warranty? Interesting...
