I have the ORE weld on skids. They work great. Haven't tried any of the bolt ons, so can't really comment on them.

I started thinking about the ball joints being an issue for the heat when welding the C gussets on. But if its ok to take time and the wet rags then ok. I do weld, have not welded on an axle yet, but my son and I are working on his XJ and he wants to add the skids on a dana 30 HP that we are swaping in. Plus we will be swapping a dana 44 into the rear and it needs the shock mounts relocated to compensate for the pinon angle with the 5.5 in lift.
We aquired a rolled xj with alot of nice drivetrain to use.
