Default lower Windshield protection?

Hello fellow JK addicts... I have damage to my lower windshield caused by unknown debri. I have to replace my entire windshield and wonder if there is an aftermarket deflector or shield I can install on the lower part of my windshield. Since the actual edge is exposed on a JK, I want something to cover/protect that edge from future damage. Any help or tips would be appreciated! Thanks!

I haven't seen anything, but here's an idea:

get some Lexan from Home Depot/Lowes/wherever, and have it cut to shape. Find some of that heavy-duty hook-and-loop stuuf (not the cloth, but the heavy plastic, super-adhesive backed stuff), and use it to mount the plastic sheet. You could then put it on and take it off with ease... just a though!

Yes, the lower glass seems to be very vunerable. Maybe I can develope a shield of some type and market it. Hmmmmmmm. I'm gonna work on that and let you guys know. I have a simple idea that I can have produced and maybe make it look good too. If i make one, ill post pics in the next few weeks.

THAT is what I would need! I'll Google around also to see if I can find that. Thank you.

Sounds to me like you're looking for a wiper cowl type of deal?

That may look kind of weird? I wonder if they have them for wranglers.

Maybe buy some weather stripping and try and stuff that around the edge?

Otherwise you may want to pick up one of those Lund hood protector things that are supposed to push things up and over teh windsheild.

The problem with the wrangler is the wipers seem to rest real close to the edge of the glass. So the lexan thing wouldn't work unless you got real creative with it...
