Lowering the JK - daily drive.

I want to lower it rather than lift the JK since it will be used 99% for the daily commute all year round on paved roads.
Besides improving handling, easier entry/exit for the passengers, lowering will also improve fuel economy as I desperately need to increase the driving range since gas stations are just at the edge of a tankful where I'll be driving. I do not want to change the stock 32" tires.
Any suggestions how lowering could be accomplished economically?

LOWERING A JEEP ....LOL....LOL...LOL...
sounds like you need something other than a jeep. and lowering it and keeping the same size tire is'nt going to gain you anything besides people asking you "are you serious"

Still, I know none of you guys will blame me for adoring the JK and wanting to increase its "go anywhere" flexibility.
I guess you can either cut the stock springs or get lowering kit to fit the jeep application. I am not sure if they actually make lowering kits for jeeps. I wouldnt be surprised if they start making one now that 4 door is out. I bet in a few months we will start seeing dropped 4 door jk's with 24's and vertical doors

If you are going to lower it????????
It would be a good Idea to get adjustable links so you can set pinion and caster angle. and the panard bar will have to be shorten or be adjustable, to corect the centering of the axle. I dont recomend cutting springs or heat. Air bags would give the best ride and you would be able to lift the jeep or lower it so you could get in easier.
Have fun with your jeep Customise it how YOU want it .
