Default LSD question

I was wondering if it would be safe to say that a trutrack limited slip is easier on a d30 than a locker would be. Thinking about adding one up front. Thanks.

Yes, a Truetrac LSD is much easier on a D30 than a locker.

Thanks for the reply, that's what I figured but I'm by far no expert when it comes to this stuff.

Been running a eaton truetrac in the front D30 of my X for quite awhile now, works great.
Once the clutches in the factory tracloc in the rear axle wear out I plan to put the truetrac in the D44 rear as well.

Full steer, no binding, no noise & great traction year round. I don't rock crawl on 37's so full case locker isn't on my list yet. Mostly mud and snow around here.

Keep in mind the cost to buy the LSD might be less than a full case locker but it's still a full case unit and Install prices can vary wildly.
You'll want to put in Temkin bearings and new new axle seals while it's apart.
Average labor cost I've seen around here is $500 per axle for full case locker install. Maybe less if you buy the unit from them and do both axles at once.

Shop around for a good install shop familair with Jeeps before you order parts. good luck.
