Yea, I never got around to re-spooling it after the last pull on my old bumper. And when I pulled the winch off the old bumper, it decided to do some de-spooling of it's own.

It works, but after my last mods, I guess I'm just looking for something else to do on the Jeep! It sure would be more aesthetically pleasing and better on the winch line if were slid over about an 1 1/8"

Thanks for posting your pic.... at least I know I didn't do anything wrong!!

Good looking JK by the way
Thanks for the compliments on my JK. From what I recall from the install last spring you probably can drill some holes into the LoD bumper to line up but you may weaken the winch plate with the holes so close. I know when I was installing my XD9000i winch I was why it was not lining up thinking there are some sliders or something to line up my winch straight. Hopefully someone with a Superwinch or XRD winch can chime in to see how it aligns on the LoD middy as maybe it's just the way warn winches mount on the LoD middy?

However, no luck and was not ready to drill into my new LoD bumper. and for strength. I have used my winch several times and it really has not been an issue for winching or spooling so I am going to leave it.

Would you buy the LOD again if you had to? I'm thinking of getting the mid-size version. Looks awesome!
But I don't want to get caught up in any issues when I get a winch

I have the LoD mid width bumper and have a Warn 9.5cti. My winch spool is centered in the fair leader but the spool is wider than the fair leader which creates similar problem spooling the cable straight as it doesn't want to go all the way to the shoulder of the spool. I would like to find another fair leader that is about 2 or 3 inches wider than the one I have now. After winching the jeep I have to spool off the amount of cable used and spool back using a stick to push the cable to the ends of the spool to keep from fouling the cable. If I had a wider fair leader this would not be an issue. This is not a problem with the bumper in my case.

Default LoD Middy

I posted original question on this thread. I haven't made any changes and I really haven't had any problems at all. I will respool after a workout for the winch if the cable doesn't respool smoothly on the trail.
As for the bumper, I love it! Bought the LoD Rock Sliders ROCK SOLID!
LoD rear with tire carrier is next mod on my list when my money tree blooms!
