Default Making J8 Sarge wheels setup

Tryin to make same wheels setup as on J8 Sarge - 35x12.50R17 not stick out fender flares.

Info:

As we can see here - tread is inside the fender flares, jusk a bit of side wall past outside.

What backspace and offset on wheel do i need to make the same? As its written 8 inch wheel width the first thing.

...and how is it possible anyhow - as i think using the leaf springs make axles less articulated, in case of this we have no rubbing - am i right? If its so - ill try to make the same articulation bacause i dont mind on flexing, were here have no rock crawling at all, only deep mud and swamps as offroading.

If you have pics with 12.50 inside the fender flares, please post it!

If you look in the Mopar accessories catalog they have some winter/offroad wheels that look very similar and will probably give you the desired look, just that they are black instead of green.

      Think it must be here?

There is "image not available" and i can find any pic in google/yahoo/msn. Anyhow, i think im understand what are you talking about,

but the main question is not the same look (its cool of course) but the same offset size - i want to install 35x12.50 as on the picture above - dont past outside the fender flares.

You need about 4.5 - 4.75" of BACKSPACING (Offset doesn't control how far it sticks out...that's Backspacing's job)

Most of the STOCK rims for the JK have 6.25" of BS...which will NOT make the tires stick out...

....but, WILL make a 12.5" wide tire rub inboard components, especially on turns, etc.

LESS BS makes the tire stick out FURTHER...but, you only need it to stick out ~ 1.5" further than stock to not rub...but it won't stick the tire out past the fenders unless you drop the BS to ~ 4" or less.

      Hope that helps!

I have 4.5 backspacing with 37X12.5 and it looks like my tires stick out about an inch. So I would think maybe someone could squeeze by on something like ~5 bs and not stick out, but not 4
      IMHO

You can get Cragar steelies with 5" of backspacing.

Any progress on this? I'm looking at putting a set of 35s on over the winter with the intent of primarily using them for rock crawling. I'll continue to jeep the Rubi wheels&tires on the street for gas mileage. Hate to spend the $s on aluminum only to have rock rash. Really like the look of the tire/wheels on Sarge, but need stock 5x5 wheels. Don't really like the aftermarket looking steel wheels.

Saw the link to the mopar accessories one, but it's only 17x7.5 and not x8 and more importantly can't find a picture to confirm.
