Post Max Tire width on stock JK with no rubbing

I have the 18" stock oem rims with the Bridgstone AT (10in wide) tires.

Looking under engine with the steering at full to the side, it looks like I have about an inch of clearance from anything close to the edge of the tire.. and these tires have 50k miles on them, so I they are in need of some tread in the next few months.

Does anyone know what is the max tire width one can use on a OEM rim without having to use a spacer?

I've read the forums and everyone says you can put what you want with the new spacers or rims with 4.5 in backspacing.. but I would like to know what can be done AS IS. Any help is appreciated.

The stock tires are 255/70R18 (10" wide X 32" height) and I was thinking of moving to a bit wider, maybe 265/70R18, which is 10.43 in wide.

According to this calculator... these are .43" wider.

Anyone run this wide or wider with no spacers and no rubbing at steering full to right or left?

Yea but that talks about 17s. I believe for 18s the max you can run are 285/65/18, not sure what the conversion is..

According the provided link, it sounds like 10.5" is the max tire width. Likely what I'll go to, but...

Anyone running anything larger on stock OEMs without backspacing?

I just noticed that the stock tires are really 10" wide.. is that true? At least according to the calculator (mentioned above) that is the case.

So are 10" wide tires really the max you can put under there stock with no spacers and no rubbing, ever?

When I bought my 07 new the dealership had 305 70 16s on my stock 16 inch wheels, everything else stock. The only rubbing I had was at full turn on the sway bar. Ran it that way for 2 years without any problems. They were about 12 inches wide.
