Default MBRP spare tire rienforcement kit

Has anyone tried the MBRP spare tire reinforcement kit? i just stumbled across this and wonder how effective it would be, for the price it seems great compared to purchasing a new rear bumper w/tire carrier for those of us who wish to carry a large spare tire.

Click for link to kit on Ebay ht tp://cgi.ebay.ca/MBRP-Jeep-Wrangler-JK-07-11-Spare-Tire-Reinforcement-/250802713994?pt=Motors_Car_Truck_Parts_Accessories &fits=Make%3AJeep|Model%3AWrangler&hash=item3a6501 b58a

Yes. I put it on about 4 months ago. So far I haven't had any issues. I'm using a stock rim with 315 70R17's.

How is the installation? does it require any cutting of the rear gate?

the kit is only to prevent stock nuts from shearing off at which point your spare tire and carrier will fall off the tailgate completely
