Default Metallic scraping when accelerating... Any ideas?

So, I just got back from Uwharrie (pics to come shortly ) on Monday and yesterday noticed a metallic scraping noise coming from under the jeep when slightly accelerating.

When cruising it's not there and if I romp on it, its not there either, or at least that I can hear...
I did scrape the skid plates a little , but nothing I thought would hurt anything though.

Can anyone point me in a direction to investigate? And like I said, it sounds like a metallic scraping on a thin metal of some type.
My mods are in the sig and thanks in advance for any help!

This happens with me almost every time I go wheeling...check your exhaust muffler...sounds silly I know but I took a aftermarket exhaust off and put a stocker back on and it tends to come loose bouncing around off road from . Just somewhere to start, let us know what you find!

Thanks for the suggestions so far, but no luck...

Checked all the brake parts, heat shields, exhaust piping and fluid levels but nothing seems out of whack.

As far as the tranny goes, is there anyway to verify anything with it?

Also, I did tear the front driveshaft boot off a couple months ago. Could a bad u-joint or something cause a metallic scratching noise?

I just really don't want to take this thing to a shop so any suggestions are much appreciated

Anyone got anything? Can the torque converter make a scraping noise?

It only happens at about 1500 rpm and 2000 rpm and doesnt change depending on the gear it's in...

Default Same problem

I have the same problem with my 2008. Its more of a vibration sound, and a bit tinny sounding. I've checked, and I can't find the issue either. It does it at low speeds, like when I'm pulling away from a stop sign. I can really hear it if there are cars on each side of the street, causing a tunnel effect. If anyone has had the same problem, and figured it out, please let us know. Thanks!!

Well I went riding over a big pile of millings at my shop at work and on the way home i had the same thing again...spent about 10 min under my running jeep trying to diagnose this problem. Tinny sounding, low speed, grinding type of sound. After checking all my ds boots my muffler all my heat shields I found...a rock. Yes a rock lodged in my factory skid plate laying against my exhaust pipe heat shield. Pulled it off and havnt jeard the sound since.

Hopefully that helps someone lol
