Evo1 has raced on currie Johnny joints for years and every kit we build runs curries. Before we ran. Currie they already had a proven track record for durability.

I don't know of anyone running metal cloak to give you a comparison, they have only been out for a year or so.

I do know nothing has stood up to our coilovers like the Currie JJ.

I don't have any concerns about running this set up, and did decent research beforehand. I'll post pics and impressions as I go.
I've seemed to have missed your post! How's that set up going for you? Sounds like an awesome set up and what I've been really curious about. Do you have any pics you can post and your impression on the mid arm coilover set up you're now running? Also, what made you switch to coilovers? Was there anything wrong with the 3.5" max travel on the spring and shock set up?

Thanks,
Sean

The set up has been great so far. I'm still waiting for the rear lever to show up. Just came back from a 4k mile road trip and have zero complaints.
The RK 3.5 set up has been outstanding. I decided to upgrade to coil overs because I hate washboard roads. Every place I go wheeling, I have to drive miles on those crappy gravel roads, and regardless of mfg, all spring and shock suspensions chatter like crazy.
Thin on pics because its still a new set up, but you'll like this one.

Wow great looking jeep! I think I may have talked to you on another thread about your set up too. Looks like its been working great for you, I hate the washboard roads too. A trail by me had a road full of potholes and its hard to drive at even 5mph on it. I think I'll be getting the 3.5 Max travel with bilstein 5100's and if I have the money and think I want coilovers I'll pick some up. Did you have to buy anything extra or have you just used all the components in the rk kit minus springs obviously

I was planning on going with the metal cloak control arms, and the bolt on EVO coils. That should be a pretty nice setup after I get it setup. WHat I really need is for my JKU to go on a big diet. It keeps getting heavier as the weeks go by.
