Good call.

From just a quick yahoo search:

EAT19819 772.99 - 4WD
EAT19695 819.99 - Jegs
Fr/Rr 4.56 and Master install kits 599.99 - Northridge
+ 76.00 in fluids and lubelockers

= appx $2269 in parts.

Be sure to ask about the shop policy regarding customer supplied parts. Some shops will not install, or will charge differently, or will warrant differently if they do not provide.

I had axle boy swap out some gears in some rubi axles in 2011 and it ran right at $1700 for the gears, install kits, and labor. Parts list seems a bit high, I would think more like $2700 for parts and labor is quite high. The difference may be the extra time for the wireing of the the lockers and the switches.

I'm still in the camp of buying whole axles. Here is my example: I bought front and rear Rubi axles off a 2012, with under 15k miles. Axles were already geared to 4.88, rear axle had chromo shafts, arb diff cover, and diff skid. Front axle was sleeved, gusseted, Synergy ball joints, RCV axle shafts, currie coil buckets, arb diff cover, etc.

So two locked and fully built D44s for $4k. Net cost after selling my axles is $2500. No labor cost as it is super easy to swap axles.

Went with the Eaton e locker it's the 4 pin one. And then Yukon 5.13s and motive master install kits. A shop is installing and I'll be right at 2k

Hey Invest, that sounds awesome but the issue is there aren't a whole lot of great deals like that for axles with everything already included! I have been looking all over for a decent set of axles with no luck.

I'm actually thinking about abandoning it all together! I just don't know what to do next!

I don't wheel that often but will more and more so want to start building the right setup.

On my list of mods to-do:

- 35" trail graps (switching out my 33" terra graps)
- 4.56 gears
- eaton lockers (new 4pin)
- on board air
- axle strengthening (shafts / truss / gussets)
- new hood ( power dome / aev / rk sport / rugged ridge)
- Bushwacker flares
- rear tire carrier (teraflex / ace pro series / PSC brawler II / 10th Anniv. W/ AEV carrier)

Any suggestions on what I should do first? Should I go with gears/lockers? Or should I wait for new axles or just put it off till next year? I only have about $3000 to spend till later this year
