If it turns out you want to go a different way look into Lange quick mirror 2.
Not sure on the heated mirror but didn't want to find out myself.
I use the above for doors off, half doors and tube doors.
Would be easy enough to fabricate if you had the tools to do so.
It's more of less a 1 inch thick round metal disk that gets screwed onto your upper windshield torx. There a hole drilled lengthwise through the side of the disk allowing a motorcycle style mirror to pass through the hole and a set screw to keep it in place. The disk can be left on without the mirror for quick attachment later.
