Mis-aligned front trackbar
Been reading a lot about how if you pass 3" with your lift you should have an adjustable trackbar. The one thing I can't find, is why.
Can someone list the issues experienced with a stock front trackbar on a JK with a higher than 3" lift?
Things I have heard but have no confirmation are ABS system going off unexpectedly, or ESP engaging, or death wobble. If you can confirm any of these and any others that are known, that would be great.
Thanks.

you can keep your track bars as long as you get drop brackets for them
to keep the axle centered in the jeep they use a trackbar, the higher you lift your jeep the steeper the angle of the trackbar which in turn will affect its length, them more steep of an angle the shorter the trackbar will be so unless you get a drop bracket to reduce the angle you will need an adjustable so you can increase the length to make up for the angle.

Your front passenger tire will be very close to the body/frame and will rub during medium turning. Also, your trackbar will be an extreme angle and will cause very flighty steering.
It should not affect your ABS. ESP may engage due to balancing issues during a turn. Death wobble is a result of bad alignment, tires not properly balanced or loose suspension.

I posted on this a bit earlier today. I have a 4 inch lift with stock trackbar on my rig. After some moderate wheeling over the weekend I re engaged the sway bar, at that time I heard some BAD clanking. I noticed that my D-side sway bar link was hitting my spring while the passenger side had about 1.5" iches of room between the spring and link...
From what I was informed on the forum it had to do with not changing out my trackbar to an adjustible one. Im going to throw one in in a few days. I'll let you know if that repairs the issue.
