Unhappy Missing horsepower!

I have a 2011 Wrangler Sport. I recently installed a K&N Cool Air Intake and a MagnaFlow exhaust thinking I can get back what I lost by putting on a set of ProComp wheels, 9.5" wide, and some Goodyear MTR's with Kevlars, 285/70/17's to be excact. With me living in South Louisiana, the heat is eatting away my horepower pulling those tires. It was 68 degrees last week when I went to New Iberia for a school and when I shifted from 5th gear @ 65mph, into 6th gear, I was able to do something I have not been able to do since I put the wheels & tires on....and that was excelerate to 70mph without dropping back into 5th gear. For my modifications to be visible, I have to have cool ambient air to see them. I am looking for a chip or programmer but I am scared that my dealership will see that if anything goes wrong and I have to bring it in, even though I would unplug it and leave it home,(before anyone tells me to unplug it....lol) Question is, what can I do to get my JK to be able to get on the interstate and drive 75mph or better without screwing my warranty. My Wrangler is my toy, but also my work vehicle and driving around town vehicle. Any opinions?....P.S...I will be putting some pics of my Jeep up this weekend!

I believe the SuperChips Flashpaq is not compatible with 2011's (yet, if ever). The AEV ProCal will re-calibrate your Speedo/Odo but I'm not sure if it will also recover any lost power from oversized wheels. Additionally, most of these aftermarket programmers have the feature to bring your ECU back to stock whenever you need to bring it in for warranty or maintenance work.

I think re-gearing will be your best option to get back to OEM-like operating conditions.

Nothing will help as much as regearing.

re-gearing to 4.88's would totally change your driving experience. See if the dealer can do the gears and promise you full warranty going forward.
I was on 35" tires for a while with stock 3.73's and when I upped to 5.13's WOW! I never needed to spend a dime on CAI, chips, etc. I got all the power and then some I needed to do everything I asked my JK to do. I now run 37's and am still happy. ALL BECAUSE OF RE-GEARING.
MPG sucks though compared to stock. But who mods a jeep and expects rice burner mpg's

Thumbs up

I was thinking about gearing up to 4.10's. I don't want to loose too much mpg due to it being my work ride. I work in the oil field and could drive to west Louisiana or surrounding states if ya know what I mean.

Do y'all think if I replace my stock cat converter to the matching MagnaFlow exhaust would help? I have heard that it's better to stay with the stock converter due to sensor problems.

As suggested above, re-gearing is your best option.

On a lighter note, I found the hp you lost. I've been running a tank of ethanol-free gas.
MPG went up quite a bit, as has performance.

I did think of that. Shell is my 1st preferance, but I guess I will see who has ethanol free gas and try that. Thanks for everyone's help.

Put a case of beer in the back everytime you bring it in. 24 cans of American brew. Know your target audience.

chips arent available for 11's yet. I asked and looked everywhere. Go re-gear if you want any of that hi-jacked power back
