MOD - Winching backwards with a front mounted winch

The biggest thing is how far it protrudes when in use (and how low it is). The other is that Class three hitches are only rated at 5000 pounds. I have very rarely had to be winched backwards. If there is nobody behind me to give me a strap I'll rig up my HiLift to pull me back. The other option is to use a Black Rat hand winch with 66 foot of cable. A 3500 # winch is only 30 pounds and can pull 7000 if using a snatch block. A much better solution than a "winch on a tray". For a flatlander the hitch idea may have merit but it has none where I go.
