Default Mopar bumper and winch problem...

So I just picked up all my stuff, and started to install, and I ran into a clearance issue between the winch and the fairlead bolts on the bumper. For anyone who has installed a bumper on the Mopar winch, what kind of bolts did you use to attach the fairlead?

Not sure as I don't have the bumper, but what kind of fairlead is it? Hawse or roller. May make a difference.

Not sure why it would make a difference, but it's hawse.

I don't know, different leads maybe longer bolts or something. Just a quick guess. I know if you have pictures it would probably help. I'm sure someone that has that setup would anwser yr question pretty eaisly though.

I installed mine with the bolts on the back side of bumper with no washers. Installed nuts and lockwashers from outside. It was still tight but worked. It is a pain to tightedn.

Well, took the fairlead off, and tried to mount the winch without it even there, and it's still about 1/8" off just to mount the winch. Guess I have to go buy a new one!

Which winch are you trying to put in? I had to buy a different fairlead for my Ramsey. I picked up the cheap Warn hawse that they sell if you buy from the stealers. I also had to put the nut/washer on the outside of the fairlead. It definitely was tight on the backside, but it worked out fine. I noticed when I did the install that the bumpers are definitely set up for the Warn winches.

X2....I had the same issue with my Ramsey and Mopar bumper. Ended up using the warn fairlead also.

I can't even mount the winch to the bumper... the winch's body hits the plate where the fairlead bolts onto... I just confirmed, and my winch is exactly the same as an M8000 body wise... so it won't work either. Does anyone have a Warn M8000 on this bumper?
