Mopar ORT Lift?
i had an srt-4 a couple years ago. That little car ripped like crazy. Mopar offered stage kits all the way up to stage 3 with a new turbo. IF you put it on yourself...no warranty. If a dealer did it they were more forgiving on the warranty. But dont get a stage 3 turbo kit and expect them to buy you new half shafts because you launched a fwd 400 horsepower car at 6k rpms.
I think most of us know the Moss-Magnuson warranty act. Dave was talking about this. A dealer needs to prove a certain mod caused the break to happen. They cant blame your new tires and lift for the radio breaking.
lot of us SRT guys would get the same thing jeep guys do...depends on what dealer and how cool they are.

I have been told by two dealers that if they install the lift the warranty would not be voided...
Both of the dealers had Lifted JK's sitting on the lot for sale; with aftermarket lifts of course. The one dealer has a Jeep guru for a lead mechanic; he has built some nasty stuff for customers from what the salesman was telling. Unfortunately I had already ordered my JK at a different dealer otherwise I might have gone through them; they seem to be a mod friendly dealer, but who really knows when push comes to shove...
I guess I should give the dealership I am purchasing through a chance; I have seen a lifted X that they have done and it looked nice… I guess time will tell.
It’s a non-issue for me anyways; I could never bring myself to pay the kind of labor a dealer charges for their services regardless. I have always done my own repairs and maintenance unless covered under warranty. So I will be installing my own lift regardless when the time comes.
I purchased this some years back and it is the best 1k a shade tree mechanic can spend that doesn’t have a large enough garage/shop for a 2 post lift. It has saved me, family, and friends thousands of dollars over the years. I expect it to make life easier with any JK mods I undertake; and also help to keep them cheaper…
These are my former vehicles; all sold except for the bike, that I have used it with. It comes in real handy; although puttin a 3/4 ton CC up on it looks scary, it handles it well, but is at the max weight rating of the lift...
A few nice things, it takes up little space, and you can roll it outside on a nice day for your wrenching pleasure, or for that thorough under body cleaning...

I was just talking to my dealer about the ORT lift.. Not that I want it.. He showed me the paper work about it .. Keep in mind this is the DC paper work.. It clearly stated "all warranty work was excluded after instllation..." Meaning it DOES void the waranty.. And gives them something to point at when something does go wrong.. I think its going to be more of a "Delear Descrection.." issue..

Sounds about right to me... I guess one could just go thru the hassle of returning to stock in the event you know dang well the lift wasn't the reason for breakage.
Here is a local dealer. They not only sell new Jeeps with lifts, they will custom build it for you......and.....(drum roll please).....they cover it under warranty. They do only cover the lifts with the warranty that comes with it.

One of the toughest things I've ever done was selling it... I miss it on a daily basis. I was forced to give up one of my toys; due to the fact that I was spending more time with my car and bike than with my wife/kids; it was a tough, but the wife and kids are happy to have their Husband/Father back!!!
This is one of the main reasons for me picking up my JK Unlimited; I can include the whole family... I tried to include them with the STi, but kept getting complaints of motion sickness...
