Ive read many posts on which is the correct top to order and thought I ordered the right one. NOPE............. # 822 10 544 Mopar just arrived without a header bar. My Unlimited Sahara was a dual top option and all the info I gathered said this was the correct part number. Do i need to remove the rubber seal at the windshield for this to work without a header bar?? Do i need to order a header bar separate??? Any help appreciated.

UPDATE: Went to a official Jeep site .... Appears that the top that they sent was a "bestop" and not a mopar which the bestop requires a separate header channel. Can anyone confirm that a "Mopar" top # 822 10 544 has a built in header bar?? Did I just get boned?

 

That is the correct part number sun bonnet for use with soft top or dual top owners with door surrounds. Just got mine 2 weeks ago to replace the crappy best top bikini. Do yourself a favor and return that one and get the mopar sun bonnet. Much better quality.

 

So your "Mopar" sun bonnet has the built in header? ? I bought this from a Jeep dealer so I am lost at why they would send a bestop product with the identical part number.

 

Yes, the Mopar sun bonnet HAS the header built in, just like the Mopar soft tops that come with a JK from the factory. In fact, everything about the Mopar sun bonnet is better (construction, material, fit) than the Bestop bikini junk that usually does not get past the initial install without ripping off at least one of the tie downs. Take the Bestop part back, I wish I had not wasted my money on it, a painful year of use later I bought the Mopar sun bonnet.

I had buyer's remorse on that Bestop bikini! There is a reason the Mopar sun bonnet is more expensive, and it's definitely worth every penny for it. The best part is the header is exactly like the factory soft top's and locks in easy and super tight.

Edit: I believe there may even be a version for JK's with door surrounds and those with out. Definitely check on that too!
