Default more power needed

Aside from getting a hemi swap, which I have considered, what will give me a greater towing capacity. We are looking to buy a travel trailer and feel the jk will be pretty anemic.

Engine, supercharger, gears, etc will give more power, and will make towing easier, but won't raise the towing capacity. You need a bigger vehicle with a heavier drivetrain (just more mass) for that. No matter how much power you add, you still have a small, light vehicle that a heavy trailer will throw around.

So my 2cents would be to regear and stay under the 3500 pound limit. (assuming you have an unlimited with the tow package?)

I agree on gears. I also agree that the towing capacity is far from just related to power, there are many other variables that come in to play that effect what a vehicle can safely tow (brakes, wheelbase, weight, cooling, suspension, etc).

Gears and stick with a travel trailer that is under the towing weight limit of the Jeep. You looking at just a pop-up of some sort?

Buy yourself a truck and use the jeep for play...these things are really made for towing....nomatter what you do since these are so short and narrow they will never handle much more than we'd like them too!
