Default Most Inexpensive Warn Winch?

I am looking for a Warn Winch for my Shrockworks stubby, but don't want to spend $1,000 + on a winch. I was looking at the 8000 Warn. Any feedback on this winch? I think this may be purchased around $500? It won't get a lot of use. Thanks.

Go for a Tabor. They have quality parts and are made by Warn. I've had 2 and they are fine. 9000lbs a bit slower than the fancy ones(who cares unless you winch A LOT) - about half the price in some cases.

Never had a problem w/ my m8000 and I use them for oddball stuff. I use em to pull trees into better positions for dropping w/ no problem. Just make sure you have a long enough line. No need for the tree to end up on your roof or in your lap.

Thanks for the replies. Where besides the one listed is the best place to purchase? Brand name doesn't make a difference as long as they are reliable. Appreciate the help.

That sounds like a reasonable price for the M8000.

That is a kick ass price for that winch! If I was in the market for one I would jump all over that!
